Longgang International Arts Center in Shenzhen held the on-site meeting for its global intelligent venue showcase and opened the D+ Digital Art Museum on 30 October, with Huawei presenting the project it supported from physical construction through digital enablement. The venue runs a full-stack OpenHarmony platform over a Wi-Fi 7 campus network and 5G backhaul, and the operating numbers it published are the part the AV industry should read carefully: 52 device categories and more than 100,000 managed points under one control system, building-wide remote one-key control with automatic fault warning, operations labour reduced by 30 percent, fault response cut from 40 minutes to 8 minutes, and venue-wide energy down 15 percent - more than 1.6 million kWh saved per year. A third-party assessment by CAICT rated the venue excellent for smart energy performance.
The operator-facing side shows where this is heading. The opera, drama and concert halls seat 1,500 guests, each of whom can preview an VR view of their seat before buying; 8K-VR remote viewing streams performances beyond the building; an AI digital assistant handles ticketing questions; and more than twenty HarmonyOS scenarios cover entry, navigation and in-visit services. Technology is no longer presented as a list of screens - it is measured in response times, energy and cost per ticket.
The procurement consequence is that venues increasingly buy the management platform first and AV endpoints second. Once displays, projectors, matrices and loudspeakers become device classes on a shared platform, endpoint selection shifts to questions the datasheet rarely leads with: does the unit expose its status and alarms in a form a building platform can consume, does it survive hot-plugging without EDID renegotiation, can a technician diagnose it from the network instead of from a ladder, and does it keep behaviour predictable across firmware updates. Proprietary control walls that lock the estate to one vendor fit this model badly; open, documented endpoints fit it well.
Amtune builds endpoints for estates that want to be managed this way. Seamless hybrid matrices with multiview processing, AV over IP decoders and multi-viewers cover the video spine, while Dante modular audio puts sound on the same documented network path. All units ship under ISO 9001 with CE, FCC and RoHS compliance and integration documentation written for remote estates. Venue and campus enquiries: sales@amtune.com.
