Amtune Maps The Signal Chain For A Brand Experience Center

A brand experience centre is three rooms in one: a showroom that has to look composed when nobody is presenting, a small theatre that runs a scripted demo six or eight times a day, and a classroom where a partner or customer is trained on the product. The commercial purpose is narrow, which is useful: it means the AV can be judged by one question. Did the demo run without anyone apologising for it? The failure mode is almost always the same: content and AV were specified by different people, so the hero wall is fed by a media player nobody can reach, the presenter's laptop arrives on a different input every time, and the open floor and the theatre are two unrelated audio systems with two sets of volume controls.

The source layer is where the design has to start. Assume four to eight sources: a scheduled playback device, a presenter laptop over USB-C or HDMI, a camera for the hybrid demo, a graphics machine driving the LED wall at its native timing, possibly a live stream return. Each wants different treatment. The LED wall is driven by a processor that expects a fixed resolution and a stable clock, so scaling should happen once, upstream or inside the processor, and never at the source where a windowed desktop silently changes the aspect ratio. Projection is the opposite problem: a warped, blended image needs a source that does not renegotiate when content changes. EDID therefore has to be managed per sink rather than globally, and every port should be labelled with what it expects, because a showroom is operated by marketing staff on a Tuesday, not by the integrator who commissioned it.

Switching is a presentation decision before it is a technical one. Seamless matters here in a way it does not in a meeting room: a two-second black frame between a brand film and a product render reads as a fault, and the audience is usually a customer being asked to believe a claim about quality. A seamless hybrid matrix at the centre, with a multi-viewer at the control position so the operator can see the next source before taking it to air, removes most of the improvisation. Audio is what gets under-specified. A theatre zone, an open floor with distributed ceiling speakers, a private meeting room and reception paging are four different level and delay problems, and a Dante or AES67 layer lets one processor feed all four with recallable presets per tour instead of four amplifiers and a wall of knobs. Delay alignment against the LED wall's processing latency is worth measuring once and writing down.

Then comes the unglamorous half: operations. One-touch scene recall for each tour. A signage schedule that keeps the open floor alive outside demo hours. Remote monitoring so a failed player is found by the integrator rather than a visitor. A locked rack with a labelled spare cable. Amtune supplies that deterministic layer: seamless hybrid matrix switchers with per-output scaling and EDID control, HD video multi-viewers for the control desk, HDBaseT extenders for ceiling projection and remote displays, converters for legacy sources, AV-over-IP decoders where the floorplan makes point-to-point cabling impractical, and Dante and AES67 interfaces for zone audio.
